Working locksmith in Colorado Springs.
Locksmithing got me off minimum wage and let me take care of my family.
Now I want to pass it on. It would mean a lot to me to help someone else get where I am, especially someone who's passionate about the work, has good ethics, and cares about helping people.
When people call a locksmith, they're usually stressed, locked out, and trusting a stranger with their home or car. That trust is the whole job. The best part of this work is getting paid what your time is worth while you help people on a bad day.
Teaching
11 locksmiths from 11 different states have flown to Colorado Springs to train with me one-on-one.
This didn't start with a business plan. It started because people kept asking me to teach them. They paid to do it and got on planes to do it, because they couldn't find organized hands-on instruction where they lived. I built what I teach myself, one student at a time, around where people actually got stuck. Some of them are working locksmiths in their own areas today.
I'm not going to tell you what you'll earn doing this.
What I can tell you is what the work actually involves, which jobs are reasonable to start with, and what it took to build something here, including what I got wrong. Most people teaching a trade leave that part out.
